Roots & Wings RDO was founded as Nascent RDO in 2008 by three friends  and  was registered in Kenya first as a Community-Based Organization working in Siaya County and later as an NGO with a regional focus. We subsequently established an office in Uganda and registered as a local NGO. In 2023, the organization rebranded as “Roots and Wings RDO” to better reflect the evolution of our transformative journey, decolonial focus, and expanded mission and vision.
